Personal Workshop Impressions

"I
have been doing inner work for quite some time now, have attended many
workshops, and taken all kinds of training. So I think its important
that that I pass on that I feel blessed and privileged to have attended
a workshop with Kelly Tobey. What an exceptional human being! What an
opportunity! My friend Andrew had told me I would be impressed and I
was.
All of
the following is from my own experience and impressions. Others who were
there and Kelly himself may have a different view and way of expressing
it. So take it in the light that this is just one man's perception of a
rather amazing weekend.
Kelly's
facilitation creates a very safe space that invites each person in the
group to embrace deeper release and transformation. I believe much more
was actually going on in myself, and in the room, than I was fully aware
of. Some of my own releases were not cognitive, but nevertheless so
freeing. I feel so much more alive, with more of my essence-self present
and in flow!
I
witnessed Kelly using his skills and intuition to gently probe and
compassionately guide individuals to uncover and release a lot of stuff
- hidden (unconscious) shields, beliefs, agendas, blocks and so forth.
He was always respecting each person's unique process and awareness. He
helped them to feel places in themselves that they had avoided
(sometimes most of their lives), which in turn allowed greater access
and flow of themselves. More of their true nature was able to be
present.
He set
up the group container, with guidelines and specific processes, but also
trusted what I call Greater Awareness/The Universe, to, in the moment,
guide the process. His facilitation allowed everyone in the group the
freedom to safely access and release their own stuff while he worked
with specific individuals. As they connected to the "focus"
person's process, the whole group was participating through that
individual's experience, moving energy and awareness, both as
individuals and as a group. It created a shared experience for everyone.
At one
point I looked in one woman's eyes (A), while she was in process with
another person and the love that was there so moved me, I burst into
tears...and the energy moved. Later in another process, (a group
process), the words Kelly put together, pulled me into a place of
connecting with the love my sister, as a soul, has for me. I felt it
...and I burst into tears again....and the energy moved ...it was the
same love I saw in the woman's eyes (A). This happened a number of times
during the workshop, and each time I realized how loved I am... while
receiving at so many other levels of awareness as well. I am still
integrating and realizing more.
Kelly
is the most organized individual I think I have met and has everything
set up so it flows naturally and is easy to do. He notices every little
detail and makes sure all is reflecting excellence and is supporting the
participants sense of safety and feeling of being cared for. I was
really, really impressed with how important the participant's well being
is to him. No stone is left unturned.
The
support team included three people from Ottawa, Andrew, Donna and myself
and eight people from all over the West (Calgary, Winnipeg, Vancouver,
north of Edmonton and Nevada. More people are lined up to volunteer and
serve in this way than spots are available, so Kelly can handpick them
for a specific workshop. (That in it self is a testament to the value of
the experience.) They were dedicated to helping Kelly shine and to
making sure every participant felt loved and supported throughout the
weekend. I feel so blessed to have had this opportunity.
The
people from the West were the very best of people, so very caring,
authentic and very, very perceptive. (What else would you expect of
people who have been working with Kelly for years?) In a few short days I feel like I made good friends. Friends I can
count on to be there for me and to tell me the truth whenever I ask
them.
Each
member of the support team was assigned a number of participants to care
for and take under their wing. 'Virgin" angels like myself were
gently guided if needed, by a more experienced angel. My angel buddy,
Jacquie, allowed herself to feel so much, constantly beamed love at me
and by her example, showed me the way. What a trip! What a woman!
The
members of the team go to Kelly's workshops because they are dedicated
to their own growth. Each are also participants at the workshop, working
with their own "hidden" material as it arises. No ego-tripping
here, just other beings working their stuff, like everyone else.
There
is a lot going on behind the scenes to ensure the success of the event.
The team meets a number of times both before and after each day, to
establish intent, take care of all the logistics, do set ups for
processes, and very importantly, to get clear in themselves. So much
love is freed up and flowing. Man, I am looking forward to connecting
with all of them again. I hope some of you will take the opportunity to
experience a Kelly workshop next time he visits your city. You won't
regret it.”
