The Benefits Of Balanced Healing

Some people tend to think their way through each situation that shows up in their life. Our capacity to think and reason is a great gift but if we cling to it exclusively we limit ourselves from utilizing our full capacity.

Our physical bodies carry valuable information. If we start paying attention to our body signals we can tell when we are tight and constrained and when we are open and relaxed.

Our Spirit carries valuable information. It can sense if another is open or closed. If we connect intuitively with our Spirit we can access all sorts of “big picture” awarenesses.

Our emotional bodies carry valuable information. If we tune into our feeling capacity we access information about ourselves as well as others. We can often sense what is going on for others emotionally, picking up their sadness, their joy, or their anger even if they are claiming otherwise with their words.

To deaden to our own emotions means we deaden to others as well. We are far more capable of looking after ourselves if we include the use of our emotional intelligence. For instance we may be able to sense fear in someone, which gives us a chance to be prepared, in case they act out of that fear in some inappropriate way.

In the unfolding of our own process of awareness we can engage all four elements of our being (emotional, mental, physical, and Spiritual), giving us a more complete and balanced result.

For example we might start by utilizing the mind and memory to describe a situation we want to deal with. ‘I recall being beat up by the school bully’. Then we can call in our intuitive guidance on how to address the situation. ‘I feel called to ask for Spirit’s help in clearing the adverse effects I have been carrying in regards to the incident’. Then we can go to the body memory of the event. ‘My body is still holding a protective posture that has not fully released since the attack’. We can bring forward the emotions associated with the event. ‘I felt fear, anger, and sadness which can still get triggered in me when situations arise that have similarities to the past event’. Once we bring awareness to all these aspects of ourselves in relation to the event and ask for a release of the historic holding patterns in our minds, bodies, and emotions, a natural unwinding of the distortions can take place, which allows us to come back into a more balanced place. We are part of nature and typically when all distortions are removed nature will naturally bring all into alignment.

The above example has been simplified. Each step may have to be expanded on in various ways to complete the process. The point is to suggest that bringing in and honoring all four elements of our selves will give us the best result. If we do not address the emotional component it will remain incomplete. The same applies for the mental, physical, and Spiritual components.
