Highlights from the Calgary workshop:
Do
You Want More?
The Thursday night seminar set
the tone for the upcoming weekend.
We talked about the impact of the subconscious mind on the
ability of the conscious mind to manifest.
Through the session Kelly showed us how the subconscious mind can
create blocks to manifesting, blocks to what our conscious mind wants.
We learned that clearing the subconscious blocks and aligning the
soul with our higher guidance is much more powerful (and less work) than
purely trying to drive everything from the ego.
Friday night focused on setting
the container of safety for the group and the creation of small
“home” groups. We each selected “challenge”, “way through”, and
“gift” cards to help focus our thoughts over the weekend.
The group process centered around the “fantasy family” we can
create when we did not receive the kind of parenting that we longed for.
This initially was a survival strategy for a child, but the same
strategy continued into adulthood and no longer served.
When we are comparing our actual parents to fantasy parents we
become disappointed and do not let the real love in.
This attachment to form was examined and can also be seen in how
we can approach relationships – not seeing our partner for who they
truly are, but comparing them to some fantasy partner that we want.
Saturday was a big day with lots
of deep processing. We
started by looking at how we can lose ourselves when we are in
relationship – no longer caring about our own interests and only
focusing on the needs of our partner.
Partners can often polarize to positions, the dependent and the
independent maintaining the “10 foot” rule of how couples try to
keep the status quo and fear to move closer to one another.
We also looked at how children
can set up patterns to get approval from their parents or how siblings
can compete for their parent’s love and attention and how these
patterns can transfer to future primary relationships and make us appear
clingy and needy. Our final process talked about the emptiness we can feel and
then wanting to give up. Kelly
worked the group through a beautiful process to help them realize that
this planet is home – a chance for us to learn and grow quickly.
Sunday started off with a
process on family secrets and how the shame of keeping secrets keeps
many people small and unable to step into their full being.
We also saw how keeping our own personal shameful secrets can
lock us into mistakenly believing that we do not deserve to manifest
more in our lives. The group went through an exercise that allowed them
to see the power of busting through our fears, releasing
self-punishment, and stepping into purpose.
The day ended with a fun and
artistic exercise where the small groups were able to ground their
vision for having more in the future.
Each participant presented their vision to the group and received
the group’s support and loving blessings in their steps to
manifestation of their dreams. The sharing at the final circle showed how far the group had
come.
All in all an amazing workshop! Thanks to everyone for their unique contributions and a special thanks to all the people who drove from Winnipeg and Red Deer to be a part of the weekend.
