Fatigued,
Irritable, Depressed, Angry?
Create
A Passion For Living By Transforming Anger
Some people feel that they do not have feelings of anger and never express anger. However, anger is not always expressed outwardly, it can also be internalized and show up as passive-aggressive behavior, internal frustration, self-attack, or depression.
Would
you like to better understand the dynamics of anger so when it arises in
yourself or those around you, you will have the skills to work with it
in a life enhancing way?
Most
of us face difficult situations in our daily life, and we may find
ourselves experiencing our own or other’s anger in different ways,
such as:
Ø
Feeling impatient, irritable and
complaining
Ø
Attacking yourself with criticism
Ø
Losing your temper and exploding
Ø
Getting easily annoyed by your
children or loved one
Ø
Feeling down, depressed, powerless,
or wanting to give up
Ø
Being flat, having no energy or
passion
Ø
Feeling controlled, manipulated or
demoralized by other’s anger
Ø
Disconnecting from a sense of
choice, thinking you have to do something you do not agree with
Ø
Hurting people you love by taking
your frustrations out on them
Ø
Fantasies of expressing your rage
violently
Ø
Expressing anger in ways that are
damaging to yourself and others
Experiencing some or all of the above can
leave scars that are difficult to heal on our own.
This workshop can help us understand why we, and others, are
angry and how to deal with it effectively.
Our society has labeled anger as always being
negative or destructive, and has encouraged us to mask our feelings or
has shamed us for feeling angry. If
anger is processed effectively, it can be used to strengthen and benefit
us without harming others.
Some
of the benefits of transforming anger appropriately are:
Ø
Accessing your passion and living
life more fully
Ø
Enhanced creativity and productivity
Ø
Better relationships with others
Ø
Increasing your joy and playfulness
Ø
Gaining a better understanding of
your own “hot-buttons”
Ø
Creating and maintaining boundaries
Ø
Improving your self-esteem and
self-confidence
Ø
Knowing how to appropriately care
for yourself
Ø
Improved employer / employee
relationships
Ø
Enriched sexual connection
We will learn that anger is here to help us get in touch with the places where we feel powerless. It comes to remind us that we still have access to great power, and can look after ourselves.
If
we do not recognize our own power we will attack those who we think have
control of our power. That attack may come through as hot confrontation
or as cold withdrawal.
Let’s
learn to harness anger in an openhearted way that harms no one, yet
reunites us with our power and passion for life.
