Attracting Right Relationship

By Kelly Tobey

The good news is that we are always attracting towards us, the “right” relationships. I would suggest that we are always surrounded by relationships that are perfectly matched to what we need for our souls development at this moment. (This includes our possible co-creation of what seems like a lack of relationships.)

The bad news is that often from the position of what our ego wants, we may think that what we are co-creating sucks. This is because what we actually need isn’t always congruent with what we consciously think we want.

If we care to, we can attempt to overpower our souls intentions by strengthening our ego will and working on its behalf to try to manifest what we think we want, as opposed to what we need. Ironically, the bottom line is that even our resistance to getting what we need turns out to actually be what we need at the time. If we need to learn more about resistance, we get to set up situations of resistance.

The way to attract more ease into the process is to align our personal will with our souls will, which is aligned to Divine will. Notice I said more ease — I did not say total ease. Our natural growth can sometimes feel difficult, but that difficulty is amplified in the extreme if we resist our own natural flow.

Let’s not make the mistake of judging our resistance to flow as bad, or in other words, let’s not get caught up in resisting our resistance. Resistance will naturally stay with us as long as we need to learn about its effects. When we are complete with resistance it will naturally fall away.

I won’t present a formula for how to get what we think we want in our relationships. Instead I’ll suggest that we be willing to find out what relationships our soul is drawn towards attracting in for us, and what it has helped us create in present time.

Once we attain congruency between our personal will, our souls will, and Divine will we have an alignment of power that can quickly and easily move us towards more fulfillment.

The fastest way to come into alignment is to stop fighting against what we have happening in our life in present time. Look for the value and the teachings inherent in what surrounds us: If what is around us is no longer appropriate it will naturally fall away and make room for what we need next.

We can choose to quit fighting with our life. That doesn’t mean we roll over and give up, it means we let go of trying to control it and move in to being present with the unfolding of our own process. If we remain present we can then respond to whatever is happening in a totally appropriate way, allowing us to co-create our life with the Divine. From this place, not only will we see our relationships are appropriate for us, but we will experience our relationships as getting richer and more fulfilling as time goes on.
