Transcending
The Seduction Of Addictions
Workshop
Review by Jo-Anne Wuziuk
Wow!
What a powerful workshop!
Thursday
night, open to the general public, started off the weekend with a
personal survey on possible addictions and their causes.
Valuable information was given to those in attendance.
Thursday was also a sampling of Kelly’s facilitation style and
an explanation of what the weekend experience could be like.
Friday
the participants that decided to stay for the weekend had the Universe
pick “Buddies” for them.
Our “Buddies” were a wealth of information and support for
our growth processes.
Also on Friday, we broke into small groups to start exploring why
we all agreed to come together for this weekend of growth.
It was an empowering experience to be really heard.
Saturday
started off with movement and some dancing.
There was plenty of opportunity in this workshop for fun and
laughter.
As
we gauged the level of safety and trust we felt, having agreed to
following specific guidelines, we decided to dive deeply into releasing
some emotions.
This lifted the lid on the Emotional Bodies.
If not here, in this place of love and support, then where would
this lid ever be lifted?
Large
group work, small group work, one-on-one conversations, and journaling
helped us take a clearer look at what behaviors were running our lives.
What was offered was hope.
Hope that things could change for us, if we choose to change
them.
One
gem of information that I found comforting was when Kelly mentioned
something along the lines of it being important for us to continue
living our uniqueness.
Our diversity and unique gifts are important to the raising of
the consciousness of the planet.
Yes!
I could stop trying so hard to conform to try to fit in.
I’m o.k. just the way I am.
This was a huge release for me.
Because
of Kelly’s diversity in the healing arts, some of the core issues that
feed addictions were dealt with this weekend.
Sunday we were able to do some healing work around issues we had
with fathers.
The experiential aspect, along with being free to express
emotionally has a lasting healing effect.
Also,
lasting are the deep, loving connections that were forged from the
bondings of the weekend.
I now have new members I consider my chosen Kelly Tobey family.
I
am very grateful for the growth; the healing; the new friendships; the
reconnections to existing Kelly Tobey family; the tears; the laughter;
the feeling of confidence, love, and support I have.
