Review of Enhanced Leadership & Facilitation Training

Level Two:

Developing Integrative Transformational Processing Skills

By Sohail Thaker

The Enhanced Leadership & Facilitation Training: Level Two course was attended by participants that had successfully completed Enhanced Leadership & Facilitation Training: Level One or Consensus Leadership Level 1.  The participants came from Alberta, BC & Manitoba.

What an amazing course we all attended.  In Enhanced Leadership & Facilitation Training: Level One we had learned the fundamentals of the Integrative Transformational Processing Format and had started to work as facilitators, working with our peers.  The Enhanced Leadership & Facilitation Training: Level Two course took this training to another level and we found that the processes were much deeper and impacted the whole group.

The first day focused on a deeper understanding of the guidelines and the Integrative Transformational Processing Format. Each participant also made an impromptu presentation that either touched us emotionally or had us laughing so hard we had tears in our eyes.

The second day moved on to practicing the facilitating techniques we had learned.  The first process dealt with rejection by a father and the impact that had on relationships.  The process worked through to completion using role playing and receiving blessings from the father.  The focus person was able to forgive the father and bless him on his way to spirit.

The second process was dealing with the fatigue we often feel as leaders and how busy we can become when we forget that we have choice.  It turned out that many participants were trying to “save the world” and easily became lost between duty and inspiration. Many different perspectives were shared and the group also realized they were avoiding dropping into the grief that was coming up.  This taught us that when the group was not willing to drop into grief the process could become very difficult to facilitate.

The third day consisted of a marathon process that started with two participants in power struggle.  As they worked this through the process changed to one of healing their inner children and making peace with their critical parents.  They then changed focus and moved towards healing the wounds they had with their children and blessing them as they grow.  Many roles were played by the participants and many miracles were witnessed.  This was truly a group facilitated process.

During the debrief the facilitators spoke about how they had approached the challenge of facilitating the power struggle issue.  The main lessons were:

Kelly closed the training by letting everybody who attended know that they had passed the course and were all invited to enrol in Enhanced Leadership & Facilitation Training: Level Three when it is offered.  Until then the participants were encouraged to continue their healing work and accumulate the necessary hours, experiences, and growth to move towards graduation as an Integrative Transformational Processing Facilitator if that is their goal.

Kelly and the Sponsors thank everyone for attending and congratulate them on graduating from Enhanced Leadership & Facilitation Training: Level Two.  The work done by everybody was inspiring and amazing. We look forward to sharing our journey of continued growth.
